I know exactly what you are saying. i unfortunately have my mortgage throught these idiots and cannot tell you the hell they put me through.  they refuse to do a loan modification and i dont know where to turn. they tell me they will take my home and i was declined the modification. we have been paying for 9 years without missing 1 payment or never late.  now co owner on mortgage lost his job and unemployment and i make very little at my own business of dog grooming.  i think we should all get together and look into a law suit against them. there has to be a way to fight back.  i am only 2 months behind and waiting to hear from disability and unemployment.  i explained this and asked for time just till the end of july and willing to make pymts of 400 a month till then and they just want to know how soon they can take my house.  was disconneted and had to repeat everything to 2 nd agent that i already resolved with 1st agent and they wouldn't tell me why i was denied loan modification their answer was they didn't know why.  can you believe it. this has got to be illegal.  not to mention unprofessional. they have no way to work with people even though the president put a plan in place for people like us so how do we fight back.  would u consider joining  forces with me in a lawsuit or at least look into our rights?

Ok they have denied your modification, you need to ask for a forebearance and you may have to be on that plan for awhile but it will be a portion of your payment until they can come through on the modificarion.. it is a painstaking process, but after a year and a half we finally got ours modified, they may make you wait until the third month to start it, belive me i know how scary that is..

So call homeowners assistance. request info on a forebearace plan based on hardship and once that is accepted do not i repeat DO NOT pay chase home finance. the homeowners assistance dept will have the payments sent to the directly, which they will hold until the end for your modification. 

at that point during your forebearance if chase calls you tell them you are working with the homeowners assitance dept and that  your are on a special plan.... good luck and hope this helps a little

Write your Senator or Congressman.  I did just that when Chase kept harrasing me for months.  They claim I was nine months behind.  Even though I had been paying all along (I have receipts for every payment and cancelled checks)  I sent them the money, and they still did not apply it to my account.  I just received a call from a Chase customer service person who called me in reference to my Congressional Complaint.  This person told me that my large check was received but does not know why it was not posted.  It turns out that I am on the black and overpaid.  I also inquired as to all my other 9 payments that I had made.  I believe they commited fraud.  The person told me to forward a copy of all my cancelled checks to them.  Well, I'm discussing this with my lawyer first.
