Received a letter in the mail labeled as "Litigation Notification, call for assistance 1-877-439-3244".
"Notice: HA5-0602" dated June 2, 2011, "Litigation Dept. Form T-008-1"
Stating:
"1. Why are you getting this notice? Ouroffice has recently filed or intends to file a claim against Boeing EMPS CU aimed at potentially fraudulent lender actions. Records indicate that you may be a potential plaintiff in a national lawsuit.  It is imperative that you contact our office immediately. To learn more or Opt In, call 877-439-3244.  The goal is to make your illegal and Fraudulent Mortgage go away, seek monetary relief, stop foreclosures, and/or seek compensation for damages.
CASE DETAILS
* Seeking monetary damages per individual
* Going after your fraudulent Mortgage company
* Multiple claims of fraud and misrepresentation
* Complete forgiveness of loan
2. What happens if you don't respond by July 17, 2011? You may be excluded as a plaintiff of a National Lawsuit against BOEING EMPS CU, don't delay, case settlement time will vary from case to case. When Calling please reference file number HA5-602.  Call 1-877-439-3244 to confirm eligibility."

The lawfirm name/address is defined in fine print at the bottom of the letter.  I called and spoke to a woman who said for the $1300+ retainer they would file a lawsuit on our behalf.  Also that it is NOT a class action suit. They cannot disclose the full details of the violations or illegal actions committed by our lender unless we pay for the retainer.  I declined and ended the call.

The Crooks at Kramer Kaslow Got Me

AUTHOR: Barbara Lee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 14, 2011

I replied to the card in the mail stating, "A Pending Nation Wide Met Life Lawsuit." I checked out Chrisopher J. Van Son Attorney with the State Bar of California and found no public record of discipline. I also checked out Philip A. Kramer with Kramer Kaslow Law Firm in Calabasas, California. I found no public record of discipline. I should have checked both of these names out on the internet. If I hadn't listened to the State Bar of California attorney search, I wouldn't have parted with $4,000 which I gave to Philip A. Kramer and the Home Retention Group. I became suspicious when one of the agents working for Philip A. Kramer called me up at the end of July,2011 and proceeded to lead me on, that Philip A. Kramer was going to send a demand letter to Met Life President, demanding more documents regarding a loan modification. This had nothing to do with taking out a Reverse Mortgage with Met Life, on a property that was free and clear. How did I get into a Reverse Mortgage on a property that was free and clear? It had to do with realtors in Henderson, Nevada blowing the hot real estate market for me between 2005-2008 because of my 5% commission that they accepted. I found out that buyers called on my property, but the greedy realtors took buyers to where they could get a 6% commission. This resulted in my house appraised at $600,000 never being shown or sold, and I went through my savings while trying to sell my house and ended up taking out a Reverse Mortgage, based on Predatory Lending which is illegal. I am working with the Comptroller of Currency regarding Met Life Predatory Lending. Back to getting defrauded out of $4,000 by the Kramer-Kaslow law firm, I was told I would get my house back free and clear and a monetary cash award between $45,000 to $75,000. I discovered that I had been defrauded out of $4,000 a week before the Attorney General of California busted them. I filled out a Client Security Fund application with the State Bar of California to get my $4,000 back. I was told that it will take a while to get my money back. I have also filed a complaint with the postal inspector for mail fraud, since I received this card in the mail regarding a pending Nationwide Met Life lawsuit that was a fraud. These crooked attorneys are facing prison for mail fraud in 17 states including Alaska. I am furious that I was scamed by these crooked attorneys. After Philip A. Kramer dba Kramer-Kaslow law firm, I will have trouble trusting any attorney ever again. This will never happen to me again.

Attorney General Kamala D. Harris Sues Law Firms Engaged in National "Mass Joinder" Mortgage Fraud
SAN FRANCISCO --- Attorney General Kamala D. Harris today announced that the California Department of Justice, in conjunction with the State Bar of California, has sued multiple entities accused of fraudulently taking millions of dollars from thousands of homeowners who were led to believe they would receive relief on their mortgages.

Attorney General Harris sued Philip Kramer, the Law Offices of Kramer & Kaslow, two other law firms, three other lawyers, and 14 other defendants who are accused of working together to defraud homeowners across the country through the deceptive marketing of "mass joinder" lawsuits. "Mass joinder" lawsuits are lawsuits with hundreds, or more, individually named plaintiffs. This is the first consumer action by the Attorney General's Mortgage Fraud Strike Force.

Banks pressure

AUTHOR: Rianna - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, July 21, 2011

Consolidated Litigation Group gets thousands of cases per month and has lots of affiliates to market its services and each affiliate charges a different fee.  One needs to shop around for the best and most reliable affiliate.  There's merit in mass joinder lawsuits.  The banks are started to get pressured.  There are many affiliates selling different packages at different prices.  I find that the home retention division ni Consolidated Litigation Group has reasonable sense and rates.

CLG is FRAUD!!!

AUTHOR: Eugene - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 19, 2011

And learn how to spell ("decietful") you idiot "ccountry"!!

http://www.dfi.wa.gov/consumers/alerts/kramer-kaslow.htm

Many Washington consumers have reported receiving misleading advertisements such as the ones shown here:

Sample Advertisement 1 (PDF)*
Sample Advertisement 2 (PDF)*
The Department of Financial Institutions has conducted an investigation of the source of these materials, and ascertained that they are neither from the consumers lender or any branch of the government, but from companies affiliated with a California law firm, Kramer & Kaslow, and a professional corporation called "Consolidated Litigation Group."
In late 2010, these affiliated companies sent mailings to Washington consumers for loan modification services; in early 2011, the advertisements were for forensic loan audits (mortgage loan compliance review).
Fees for loan modification services were reported as $3,000 or more; the "mortgage loan compliance review" was quoted as $2,500, fully refundable if no violations are found.
If the modification efforts are unsuccessful, or the forensic loan audit uncovers "predatory lending violations", the consumers are then solicited to become a plaintiff in a mass joinder lawsuit with "Consolidated Litigation Group."
Initially this inclusion required no extra fees; however, recent consumer reports indicate that the fees to join the "mass joinder lawsuit" are quoted as $1,500 or more.
Unlicensed Loan Modification Services and Advance Fees
Washington state law requires third-party loan modification companies to be licensed with the Department of Financial Institutions. To date, none of the companies affiliated with these advertisements are licensed with the Department in any capacity.
Earlier this year, the federal Mortgage Assistance Relief Services (MARS) Rule was issued to protect struggling homeowners from being further victimized by "loan modification" and other mortgage relief scams.
The most important aspect of this rule is a ban on advance fees. Under this provision, mortgage relief companies may not collect any fees until they have provided consumers with a written offer from their lender or servicer that the consumer decides is acceptable, and a written document from the lender or servicer describing the key changes to the mortgage that would result if the consumer accepts the offer. The companies also must remind consumers of their right to reject the offer without any charge.
The MARS rule has a section for attorneys conducting loan modification or other mortgage relief services. To be exempt from this Rule, attorneys must meet three conditions:

they are engaged in the practice of law
they are licensed in the state where the consumer or the dwelling is located
they are complying with state laws and regulations governing attorney conduct related to the rule.
To be exempt from the advance fee ban, attorneys must meet a fourth requirement they must place any fees they collect in a client trust account and abide by state laws and regulations covering such accounts.
About Mass Joinder Lawsuits
According to Consolidated Litigation Group, P.C., there are four California attorneys associated with this litigation group:

Philip Kramer
Mitchell J. Stein
Theodore Maloney
Christopher J. Van Son
The Department of Financial Institutions has determined that none of these attorneys, affiliated with the mass joinder litigation connected to this advertisement, are licensed to practice law with the Washington State Bar. This conduct has been referred to the Washington State Bar for potential action.
These attorneys, however, are apparently eligible to practice law in California. The State of Californias Department of Real Estate (CA DRE) has issued its own Consumer Alert regarding mass litigation or mass joinder lawsuits being marketed to consumers. You can read the CA DRE Consumer Alert at www.dre.ca.gov/pdf_docs/ca/ConsumeAlert_WarningreMassLitigation.pdf.
Additionally, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) also recently issued its own Consumer Alert regarding mass joinder lawsuit mailings. You can read the BBB Consumer Alert at www.bbb.org/us/article/bbb-warns-homeowners-mass-joinder-lawsuit-mailings-may-be-latest-advance-fee-mortgage-modification-scheme-26797.
The Department of Financial Institutions would like to encourage all Washington consumers to verify that any loan modification service they consider engaging is properly licensed with the Department of Financial Institutions and complying with the MARS Rule and applicable state law.
Consumers are also encouraged to conduct internet research on the company to check for possible consumer complaints and to learn more about the company. For Washington consumers whose home is in jeopardy due to default or financial troubles, please visit the "Washington Homeownership Information" website at www.homeownership.wa.gov for information on how to obtain free assistance in working with your lender prior to foreclosure.
For more information, contact the Department of Financial Institutions at 1.877.RING DFI (746-4334).

Share my thoughts

AUTHOR: Randy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 12, 2011

I received this same letter and was leery at first, especially when I read all these Rip off reports, but I didnt see any real evidence of that it was a scam so I looked into it in depth.  I called the courts in which the case was filed and was surprised to find out it was a REAL case.  I then checked out their lead attorneys with the bar association, martindale.com (where attorneys rate each other), and with a family friend who is a judge and former attorney.  Turns out the attorneys are legit too.  So lastly I called the attorneys office directly and found out the letter was legit and the representative I spoke with was as well.  I asked about all this bad press and was told that they were aware of it but didnt even bother responding to it because people are always going to make these kinds of accusations but if people are really interested in keeping their homes and getting back at the banks they will do the proper research as I did.  I am now listed as a plaintiff on this case and am optimistic about a settlement in my favor.  Bank of America just recently settled for 8.5 BILLION dollars!  I know that was with their investors but if I can even get a settlement that helps me with my mortgage I will be happy.  To brad you should definitely do some more research it is worth the money!  To Lisa Good for you! To ccountry I cant wait until I get mine like you did!  To Dave Its people like you, who want everything for free, that is what is wrong with this country leave the legal advice to the lawyers!  To djkimbrie I would say call them back, you want to be in on this case!

Red Flag

AUTHOR: Dave - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 22, 2011

The last thing I would do is give someone $1300.00 plus a retainer to be given information and to "retain" their services.  The only thing they are going to retain is your money.

The thing is this litigation dept contacted you. If they are so eager to help then call them back and tell them you'll pay them nothing but when they represent you and win monetary damages you'll pay them 30% from those funds. They can then pay you the balance in a cashiers check which you can call and verify is real before depositing in your account.

Then again your not going to worry about that since it's a big scam from the word go.

It seems to be a lot of rumors going around but I would just like to add that I have been with the program for almost 4 months and have been very successful in obtaining exactly what I was promised. They helped me and my family save my home with a very low payment that I was originally quoted.   If you would like to know more please email me at (((ROR redacted))
