First, I want to say that I was in the Title Insurance Industry for 35 years and know my way around the block-but dealing with Countrywide-BOA is like dealing with morons from outer space. It Seems that whoever can figure out what is the "least they can do" to hang on to their jobs-are the ones who are still employed. I bought my home in 2005 when I was employed. More than 20% down, excellent credit, fixed rate loan. Unfortunately, I became 100% disabled in 06. It took 18 months to get on Social Security (18 months with zero income) and another year to get medical insurance. Somehow from savings and selling off things I was able to keep up, while trying to sell the house. Last year I finally hit a brick wall and entered into a Forebearance Agreement with the bank. The second payment was returned, as some idiot sent me an envelope with the wrong address on it. Everytime I called I got some new nitwit and had to go into the entire deal again. Finally, I had to resort to a short sale. Lucky for me, I found someone who really DOES understand how to go about it. The bank has been nothing buy uncooperative. First offer was rejected (after 6 weeks) they still don't come up with a price, but pay some out of work realtor $75.00 to do an "appraisal" (never going in, of course). Next offer is in. Price is only off by a few thousand-they are sitting on this offer like a whale in a lifeboat. Calls go unreturned-answers are stupider and stupider as time goes on. If they just let the house go-they are done with it. The shortage is only in the $40,000 range. (Small potatoes by current standards). I guess the brilliant BOA powers that be would rather pay taxes, hoa, insurance, etc than unload the "inventory" as they are supposed to do. Do they want to end up with all these houses ?? Who is in charge there? Did they go to the Romper Room school of business? Why are they allowed to get away with this?? If the taxpayers are sending billions to this bank-why are they not being told what to do as are the car companies. It is my understanding that Countrywide/BOA is the worst of the worst when it comes to this. Class Actions-Anywhere out there???

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Seriously...........

AUTHOR: Hatestupidpeople - Fort Worth (U.S.A.)

Please tell me you didnt say class action lawsuit. 1st, you all need to understand that Banks DO NOT and ARE NOT required to do a SHORTSALE. They are optional and not required. So with that go ahead and call an attorney and waste more money. By the way, you can afford an attorney but cant pay your debt you signed for. Talk about exhausted.

Bank of America or Countrywide

AUTHOR: The Arbitration Enemy And Defeater Of Dishonesty - Allentown (U.S.A.)

I bought my house in 2004 in Allentow, Pa got divoirced in feb.9, 2009 after 21 years of marriage, filed for chapter 7 to save my house before the divorce, and now i am losing my house as the market is terrible. Went for some kind of credit counseling to stop forclosure and nobody buys the house. Called the bank and all they say is do a short sale, i am about to do this, after they denied a loan modification so that I can take my kids back into the house. I am I had to move to an apartment paying only half of what my mortgage is worth every month. Now they denied my loan modification because I am not in the house. This company tells you one thing today and next day come to you with a different story. The goverment did wrong by giving taxpayer money to fix the economy and nothing has happened in the mortgage industry. Everything is a rip-off. What we should do is let every house be foreclosed when dilinquent and do not spend more money trying to save your houses.
