At this point, Dovenmuehle Mortgage is simply annoying. They call repeatedly and leave the message "Call the Texas Land Board", then hang-up.

So what is their game? Why would they call a number on the national "do-not-call" list, and leave multiple messages?

I'm sure I don't 'get it', but there are more than enough reports on the shabby business practices of Dovenmuhele, as well as reports of the 'call & hang-up' activity.

If anyone knows how this particular rip-off works, please post a reply.

Collection Calls

AUTHOR: The Shell Answer Man - (USA)

1) Dovenmuehle and Ocwen are two different companies.

2) When someone gets an answering machine and leaves a message, why would they not then hang-up?

3) The "do-not-call" list does not include when the caller has a business relationship with the consumer.  Also, a call to attempt to collect a debt is always allowable.  Perhaps if you either returned the call, or paid your bills, you would not get multible messages.
