These people are crazy at this place. I was totally current on the house and had it For Sale with a realtor. Got an offer but it was about 10,000 less than what was owed. Called Home EQ and explained that if they will remove the pre-payment penalty of 10,000 to what was owed, they would get paid in full for the house. They said NO WAY! I explained that this was a divorce and if they did not help me then they would be getting no money for the house a I could not afford to pay for it. Still said NO WAY!. Well needless to say lost the real estate deal and with this market I have had no other offers. Called them back again to see if they would remove the 10,000 pre-payment penalty again and they said NO WAY! Now the house is foreclosing. So needless to say Home Eq Servicing is eating a 220,000.00 loan because they were too stubborn too work with the customer and remove a small 10,000 pre-payment penalty. No wonder customer service is dead in the US. Thanks Home EQ for not working with me and being too self-absorbed to work with your customers.
