HomEq dba The Money Story ripoff unlawful foreclosure Sacramento California

I too was ripped off by this company. I live in the state of Georgia and let them refinance my home. Due to the fact the my husband and I later separated, I got 2 months behind in my payments. I called them and made arrange to use my 401k to keep my home. according to the person that I spoke with, this was acceptable.
When I called to get the fax number to send my 401k information, I was told that my house was already foreclosed. I never received any of the legal notices required by the state of Georgia nor was I ever given an eviction notice.

I was called at work out of the blue and told to get home because the sheriff as at my door with an eviction company busting my locks to set all of my belongings at the curb. This was all done in the middle to a very severe storm. I lost the majority of my posessions through damage and theft. the eviction company also stole cash and other items that were in the house.

I hired an attorney (this was approximately 2 years ago) and he has had no luck trying to reverse the foreclosure and recover my damages because The Money Store was apparently operation illegally in the state of Georgia. The are not listed with the state banking industry, nor can we locate a legal representative or anything else for them in the state of Georgia. They simply disapperead.

If there is an attorney out there who would be willing to file a class action suit against them I would be very interested. i have already paid one attorney and am coming up empty. If anyone has any information that can assist me please let me know.
