this company post mortgage payments late and then reports the consumer to the credit bureau as being a late pay. customer service employees are rude and unwilling to assist the consumer.

there is never any available management to speak with.
you can never speak to the same person twice.
their answer to every problem is to submit more paper work.

I have submited documentation on two seperate occassions supporting my claim and requesting a review and clearing of my bureau file. each time I contact these people they request the same paperwork be sent to them again.

My mortage hase been owned by three other companies and I never had a problem until Midland took over, now it's always something. Each month I have to call to verify my payment. It takes them at least three weeks to post a payment

Here is some info for people complaining about Midland in OK

AUTHOR: Ginger - Phoenix (U.S.A.)

If you are in OK, Midland's got a couple addresses you might not have tried. You can now look up this stuff online at the OK Secretary of State office, their search site is www.sooneraccess.state.ok.us/corp_inquiry I hope that URL works, I'm typing it from memory. But I do have the Midland addresses that may be new ones you can try:

Legal Dept.
501 N.W. Grand Blvd
OKC, OK 73118

Correspondence address:
POB 26648
OKC 73126

FHA Mtg Dept
999 N.W. Grand Blvd
OKC 73118

You should send a letter certified return reciept mail with copies of your documentation to back it up. Good luck.

husband's mortgage got jacked up with this company

AUTHOR: Shawn - Bowie (U.S.A.)

My husband's mortgage got jacked up with this company in the same fashion. Instead of dealing with the rudeness of their reps, I have contacted the better business bureau in Oklahoma City and filed a complaint. You can even file a complaint online. I did a search for better business bureau in oklahoma city, ok and it came up.

If the BBB gets enough complaints, maybe Midland will stop.

Regarding the BBB... BBB will not make complaints public information

AUTHOR: Cindy - OKC (U.S.A.)

The Better Business Bureau MIGHT do something if enough complaints pile up and I would encourage anyone to file a complaint there if they have a problem with a company, HOWEVER, the BBB will not make complaints public information. They only use a rating system that can take years to kick in, assuming some magic number of complaints accumulates. Individual complaints at a BBB are private and may never be made available to researching consumers. BBB's are funded by businesses membership fees and it's not a consumer protection organization.

The state of OK is a hard place to research companies in, or to get a complaint acted upon...most if not all consumer complaints are kept confidential at state agencies, and the typical response when you complain is "get a lawyer." If you DO get a lawyer, you are branded suit happy.

People should think of the BBB as a necessary formality in the complaint process, but should not assume the BBB wil do anything, and no one should rely too much on the BBB for researching companies complaint histories. At least some of the other states agencies make complaints public if you ask, but few or no BBB's really do. Many people can be ripped off waiting for that rating system to kick in!
