Money Tree Funding Refused to Refund my Money after they failed to send the leads they promised. Canoga Park California

I am a Real Estate agent in Asheville NC. On Friday 08/08/2008 my Broker in Charge gave me an email he had received from someone named Robert Beck claiming to be the Sales Manager for Money Tree. Mr. Beck stated in the email that his organization had several buyer applications in the Asheville NC area 28803 that had been pre approved for a loan. The email further states that these applicants are looking to buy a house within the next 0-180 days and have been verified, and that they need a real estate agent.

The email said to call 818-444-7295 extension 8029 for more information which I did from my cell phone. I was then put on hold and ultimately someone named Isaiah Jenkins came on the line and said he had 23 leads in the Asheville NC area and I could get those leads fo $350.00. He then faxed a form to my office for me to fill out. At that point I was going to wait until Monday so as to give myself time to investigate whether this was on the up and up so to speak.

When I got home Mr Jenkins called me back and wanted to know if I was still interested. He somehow managed to convince me to purchase the leads that evening of 08/08/2008 and said he would send an email the next day with information on the leads and how to obtain them. When I did not get the email Saturday 08/09/2008 I got suspicious and did a search using these words "money tree real esate leads scam&" and found this website with other realtors who had the same experience with the same individuals and cannot get their money back.

On 08/11/2008 today I called and kindly asked Mr. Jenkins for a refund. He accused me of threatening him and said there would be no refund. I have yet to receive the email for the leads or any leads whatsoever.
