In November of 2003 I was contacted that this mortgage company could help me purchase a home. The man on the phone said that he ran my credit and that I was approved for an 80,000 dollar home. All I had to do at that time was send $300 to Money Tree Mortgage and this would begin the paperwork for purchasing a home.

At that time, I did not have the money to send and so I put it off until the first of the 2004 year. When I received my tax return, I called Money Tree Mortgage and was told that I had a new representative to help me. He called constantly wanting an accurate date that I would send the money. When I actually had my tax return in my bank account, that is when I called Money Tree Mortgage back and told them when I would send the money.

I sent them $300 on February 13, 2004 and as of today I have yet to hear from them. I have called and left numerous messages but no one has returned my calls. When the first two weeks went by with no return calls and I was still getting voice mails, I decided to call the realitor and tell him to put everything on hold until I know what is going on.

I started researching this company on the internet to see if there were possibly other numbers to call and reach customer service but I have had no luck. What I did find with my research was a ripoff report telling me that there was someone else that had sent $300 to this company and has yet to receive it back.

As of today, which is March 9, 2004, no one has returned a call or even contacted me to finish any paperwork that should have been started upon receiving the $300 I have sent to begin procedures. What do you do when you thought you were dealing with an legitimate business that could help establish your credit plus assist with purchasing a stable residence for my family?

statue of limitation on getting your money back.

AUTHOR: Kenneth & Marie - Pflugerville (U.S.A.)

Michelle, you are not alone in this. Call your bank the dispute department and talk with them. Your bank should be able to get your money back. Ours did, we started dealing with Money Tree in July 2003, we got our money back November 2003. There is not a statue of limitation on getting your money back.

Also there is a Dect. in GA that is working with us, give him a call. His name is Dect. Dan King with the GA Police Dept., his number is:

1-770-592-6010
