George, the first thing you need to consider is refinancing with a REPUTABLE provider and get away from these assholes. Advise these clowns they are violating federal law by "cramming" your account and that you fully intend to file complaints with the Florida Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, and the State Insurance Commissioner. This may or may not get their attention and if it does, you can avoid the legal fees for now. Also, DEMAND a service statement to find out when and where your dollars are being applied. Force the issue and let them know they are not going to get away with their BS! Best wishes!

If you do they will buy it back from them too.
They love to keep us till we crumble.
Back in 98 we had OCWEN and we were put on forcloser and put us through HELL.
I filed bankrup which gave us more time to sell it to get out. we were able to sell the house WAY below what we purchace the house for. At that time my husband suffered 2 strokes as soon as we moved out. had to sell his business because he wasn't able to work any more.
We brought a new home with the money he got from the business and had the loan from A & B morgage company. They in turn sold if to....yup you know the ansewer to that one OCWEN and now we are in HELL again.
They are pulling the same old stuff saying we didn't make payments and now we are in our 2nd. forebareance plan. I know I made this story short with out alot of detail but I know you all know what we have gone threw because every time I read you resonses and complaints I too have lived them along with you. Lets only hope we can put a stop to this company before they ruin all of us. GOD BLESS US ALL.

When seeking to refinance a home mortgage, ask them if they sell the loan to another organization. Most of them do and you need to find out who they do business with.
Also, put a stipulation in your contract that the loan can only be sold to a company approved by you.
If they can't provide you with a list of the companies they do business with, move on and find someone who will. It's YOUR money! John Tampa,FL

The prior two rebuttals are simply not taking many things into account. First off, not Ocwen nor any other company that is being paid to COLLECT (or service) mortgage payments WANTS to contact the customer.
If the customer is making their mortgage payment ON TIME and in a CONSISTENT manner, no calls, no harrassment, etc.
By insinuating that this company has nothing better to do than to harrass people is just insane.
Second, the comment about refinancing with a reputable company because of being re-sold. I would be willing to bet you couldn't name 5 companies that do originate loans that do NOT resell the loans in some manner!
Third, what rediculous advise about going into a closing on your house and stipulating who they can or cannot sell the loan to. Most loans are sold in pools on Wall Street and you think YOUR stipulation means anything to anybody. I can tell you that a finance company, bank, etc would simply walk away from the closing.
GET A CLUE!
The best advise is to make as much of an effort to make your payment as you have obviously made in complaining about the company servicing it.

how totally interesting! and here I thought ocwen was actually spending time "fixing" their mistakes on my account! instead, they are monitoring websites, issuing dis-information, and in general NOT harassing anyone! the ONLY pleasant experiences I've had with Ocwen are when they are hitting me up for speed pay, taking money out of my account for "charges" of documents that I have requested, and when I have called to verify that my payment has finally been received. You should see the payment history I received from them (for $10.00 of course.
Also my "contract" (for $25.00 of course). My credit report is so screwed up it isn't funny! I have "one time 60 days late" reported to Equifax, an "open/never late" reported to TransUnion, and a "2 times late" reported to Experian. And ocwen hasn't returned any of the credit bureaus phone calls either, so I'm still waiting after 4 months. This place is diabolical.

My friends are stuck with Ocwen. They are in a forbance plan (the only way to get Ocwen to stop forclosure threats, all due to erroneous "late and lawyer fees") and are current, up to date and can prove it.
Thanks to this website, they have been taking no chances with these crooks, all calls recorded and documented, all mail is sent return receipt requested w/signature and everything that they sign is double copied and notorized. Their last payment was cashed 5 days BEFORE due date, not within the grace period, but the actual date due.
So why was I not surprised to be visiting them yesterday and they got the regular call, from guess who? Amy from Ocwen. They will even harass you when you are current!!! The employees defending their policies are just plain out to lunch. You cannot defend your actions by trying to slam good people and say that they are deadbeats. Ocwen is run by crooks, morons and probably a few good employees in serious denial about the morality of the company they represent.
Get a clue, all of these people are having the same problems, not to mention all the other people not posting messages! I will be glad to see this company trying to explain their actions to Diane Saywer!!!
DON'T QUIT FIGHTING THESE A#$%#$#%!!!!! By the way, my friends also had their own insurance, but after the forbance went into effect, Ocwen "had no record" of their policy!! Numerous faxes and charges from Ocwen, they finally fixed the problem, but still tried to charge for the insurance!!! If they can't get you one way, they try another.

Let get a class action law suit filed against this company. I will report back to an law firm that does these class action suits. See, Ocwen has been operating with a man who has stolen my property but wants to leave the taxes, insurance in my name and if any thing happen then I am responsbile for these actions.
I am going to write and ask this law firm that handles class action suits and win them to help all of the consumers that Ocwen has perform all this breach and deception practice of service our loan.

Dear Linda,
Although I appreciate your zeal, before you make any commitments to an attorney, Rip-off Report must speak with him or her. Any class action law suit involving postings on this site must be checked out thoroughly for several reasons.
One of the main reasons for this, is that I would want to ensure that victims are not victimized by an attorney who then takes most of the award, should a judge rule in favor of the victims.
Additionally, Class Action Lawsuits are very costly in terms of the amount of time to gather names and we want to ensure that we can track the treatment of all the victims. Therefore,
All class action suits that want to be promoted through the Rip-off Report must contact us first: classaction@ripoffreport.com

I have tried several times to re-finance my mortgage and Ocwen will not subordinate the loan so consequentially I am stuck. What can I do?
I am interested in joining the class action lawsuit against Ocwen.
Your help is appreciated.
