We had a second mortgage that was owned by
Ocwen when they purchase one of our original loans. It was small only $32,000.00.
Turned out, they were the worst company and were being
investigated by ACORN and HUD for stealing the houses from the elderly, poor,
and those who had purchased Habitat for Humanity Houses.
In our case they were foiled. They were our second mortgage not
our first, as they thought and they had little power over us. But, they tried
the same stunts.
- Not crediting our payments on
their due dates as paid.
- Constantly sending fake
foreclosure letters to intimidate us.
- Attempting to get us
to re-write a new loan with them, combining our 1st and 2nd
mortgage with them, attempting to get us to obtain an equity line of
credit with them as in 3rd mortgage.
- You may want to know,
that they are also known as Wilshire Collections. So if you are late on
your mortgage payments or didn’t retain good proof of timely payments the
will turn you over to Wilshire Collections, and they will damage your
credit rating.
- There is a large class
action suit against Ocwen and Wilshire Collections; you need to go to the
Federal Trade Commission, CLARKHOWARD.COM, to get the details.
- Also, both Ocwen and
Wilshire Collections will attempt to file a Frivolous 1099, tax credit
against you with the IRS, to ruin you with the IRS, and to gain tax
revenue for them. They pulled this stunt with us, for $8,000 but it back fired in their faces.
Americans should't have bailed the banks out, but should have taken them all over!
