WASHINGTON MUTUAL HOME LOANS RIPOFF TOTALLY MESSED UP MY ESCROW ACCT SAN FRANCISCO Nationwide

My mortgage is 1 year old, the first 2 months I paid $995 a month, then they sent me a check for over $700 saying my escrow was overpaid, AND lowered my monthly payment to $871. Today I get a letter saying I am $4,559.26 short on my escrow, my mortgage went up to $1,082.22 AND I get to pay another $379.94 per month for 12 months toward the shortage. I have heard of this happening to other people, but not to this extreme!

We are talking about $591 extra per month they expect me to cough up for a year! And I'm getting married in 3 months! The only thing they offered to do was to stretch it to 24 months which would be $1270 per month. Then another woman said to fax a letter to them basically begging them to go 36 months. It is their mistake and I have to alter my whole way of living for a year!!
