Dales Truck Parts Scott refused to negotiate, rude, hung up on me, refused to take any resposibility. cedarville, Ohio

I called in around July 7 and spoke with Lum regarding an ISUZU 4HE1XS engine. Got a quote and asked about condition of engine. Was told good runner and that’s it. I asked for pictures and was told they were unable to provide any. They required payment upfront before the engine shipped. We sent check#578, 579 for the engine and the core charge.

The engine delivered to our customer and they were very unhappy with the condition of the motor. It was rusted on the exhaust manifold really bad, Turbo and various other parts. The customer’s old engine had the same issues therefore he was unable to swap the parts. I called Lum on the 15th and he said they had no parts to switch with and he was going to check with Scott on replacing them. Scott would not locate or pay for the parts to be replaced. They would accept the engine being returned only. Scott kept saying you purchased a good runner, this is a good runner. As if to take no responsibility for the fact that it looks like a Core not a used engine.

When we did the order they wanted the money upfront and then the engine shipped. We told Scott we would like our money upfront with a track# and then we would send out the engine and provide him with a track#. He refused to do it that way and said the engine is yours to keep and hung up! Will not return phone calls or negotiate. Our customer is now expecting us to refund their money and return this engine ASAP. I am completely appalled by Scott’s behaviour to me on our 1st phone call and his decision regarding this matter.

Be aware when purchasing from these guys. MAKE SURE you get pictures of the product and verify all aspects so this doesn’t happen to you or your customer.
