    Corporate Advocacy Program
I found a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 truck on a local craigslist for $3300 and contacted the seller by email (no phone number was available) and told him i was interested in driving the truck.  He replied saying that he was stationed in Fort Monroe, Hampton, VA making final preparations to deploy to Iraq and that this is an urgent sale to get rid of the vehicle before deployment.  He stated that the truck is located in a crate at a shipping company ready to be shipped to whoever purchases the vehicle.  He also sent me to a webpage that had pictures of the vehicle including the VIN# which checked out on CarFax and everything came up mostly clean.  After viewing the report i noticed that it had been recently ran though an auction but no indication that it had been bought. After deciding to go ahead with the purchase he asked for my full mane and address to set up an eBay Buyer Protection Program to protect both the buyer and the seller and that i would have 5 days upon receiving the venicle to insepect it and then contact ebay whether or not i want the truck and then the money would be given to him.  So once i recieved the so-called eBay email to verify my information and setup payment it asked me to send the money via a Moneygram to an eBay agent.  This was my redflag and after some research i found the RipoffReport website and saw a case exactly like mine where a person did get scammed. I didnt give them any account info or create the moneygram but just wanted to file this and hope you can help in catching these crooks.
