I decided to buy out my lease on my 2006 Chevy HHR. I was told by GMAC to handle it through the dealer which was Maroone Chevrolet of Pembroke Pines. My salesman, Mike Uruski pulled a payoff amount on 9/17/2008 of $14,666.62. I had a payment due 9/29/08, so I went ahead and paid them $399.91 on 9/26/08.

When the financing, etc. was all agreed upon, I went to the dealer on 9/30/08 and completed the transaction. Mike Uruski said he could not pull a new payoff amount (after I made the payment to GMAC) because it was after hours, and a lease payoff could not be automated. He said they would refund me the $399.91 after all was said and done.

Now I'm being told that because I bought the car on 9/30/08 (24 hours into the Oct lease month) they will not refund ANYTHING! I should be prorated 29 days and get my overpayment back. They ripped me off for $400.00 again, and I will never do business with them as long as I live.
