Lovering Volvo 4 transmissions and a transmission leak in 7 months. Nashua New Hampshire

At 58,000 miles I took my car in for regular maintenance and complained of hesitation in drive and in reverse. They wanted to charge an additional $95.00 on top of the $427.00 they charged for regular maintenance. I took my car into a service garage which specializes in Volvo. They said it was the transmission and gave me a copy of a memo addressing a high number of problems with the transmission software and suggested this may be a good place to start.

The dealership installed new software. After software installation, I called several times to complain that my car was performing worse than prior to service. Volvo said the software installation takes 3 months to adjust to the driver's driving habits. The transmission urgent message came on days later. Volvo replaced the first transmission, they road tested it and found the replacement transmission was faulty. they put in transmission number 2. In less than 2 months time, same problem. Transmission number 3. In less that a month, we noticed the car was leaking transmission fluid. It was a defective side cover. 4 months later again same problem with transmission. Now we are on transmission number four.

I contacted Mr. Lovering he acknowledged that my turbo 6 was a problem for Volvo and they don't make it anymore. I paid over $46,000. for this car and he said they would talk to Volvo. I e mailed wford@ford.com. Their corporate headquarters offered me $3000. off a new Volvo.

My car drives like a truck since my last visit to the dealership. My call to Mr. Lovering were not returned. I filed a claim with BBB and they are not a member. Beware never buy a car from a dealership that does not participate with the BBB.
