I am posting this to let people know that this company is a bad decision to do business with. I contracted with nationwide moving services and stephanie in mid-september for our move and was pretty much fluffed the whole way through. their estimate was $1,700.00 minus a $700.00 deposit for our move which left a balance of $1,000.00 on delivery. I was told all of my furniture would be blanket wrapped at no extra charge and it also included everything. The biggest misconception was they said they had their own trucks and I am pretty sure they do because I checked them out with the federal motor carrier admin and it says they do have a truck but I can assure you it was not theirs that picked us up. First of all, they arrived a day late which we could live with. When they did arrive it was 2 filthy guys from the middle east somewhere that were quite rude and asked for money up front for fuel which I was told that we didn't need to pay until the delivery end. We paid $400.00 in cash at pick-up and were told that it would come off the bill. Then they started taking items out of our boxes and repacking them into their smaller boxe3s because they said our boxes would not travel well. They were brand new boxes that we purchased but the driver said don't worry about it. They did not inventory 1 thing and my wife had to follow them around and inventory everything. They did an o.k job of packing and putting everything on the truck but the worst is yet to come. When we initially asked for the weight tiocket they said it was not neccessary. What???? They said they would weigh it when they left and let us know the weight. They did let us know 3 days later. They said we were 500 cubic feet more than estimated or 3,500 lbs. @ .50 per lb. for a new total of get this $2,750.00 we had already given them $400.00 when they got there and another $700.00 deposit which would make our total $3,450.00 as opposed to the original $1,700.00 no surprise estimate. This company is a bucnh of liars and considering the fact that we have no choice but to pay the money they claim we owe and have no weight tickets to prove it we are screwed. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I tried to post a review on the website that referred them to us and they delted the review and I hope the same does not happen here as everyone shoudl be warned about this company. I see other reviews here and the rebutal is blah,blah,blah from someone in management. I say they should actually give a damn about customers and not hide behind some stupid response. I am really upset that these people took advantage of us and hope it doesn't happen to others but unfortunately I think it will.

Nationwide Moving Services does care about each and every customer. Unfortunately we are unable to satisfy every one. Like every other moving company out there we are not perfect.
