Complaint is against a moving company that is currently listed on movingscam.com. My contract was with Authorized Movers, however they hired a sub-contractor, Olympic Moving and Storage, who are the worst movers I have ever seen. We had excessive damage to home at pick up and home at delivery. No one answers phones at place of business. No one returned any of my calls for more than 10 days after pickup.

We were charged for services not performed, such as rebuilding furniture and packing materials and additionally, charged for packing wardrobe boxes, which we did ourselves. Unreasonable damage to my belongings, ie, not a piece of furniture without significant damage and several that are currently being repaired by us and additional items that will need to be repaired by a furniture repairman. Most moving boxes and furniture were water damaged and there was no rain on pick up date or delivery date. Pick up and delivery crews did not speak English. Company wanted signed contracts with a foreman that could not speak English to answer questions about documents at pick up.

Crews did not know how to properly pack furniture and we actually were wrapping furnishings post what the crews did prior to their placement in the truck at pickup. Pick up crew dropped several pieces of furniture down the stairs including damages to furniture and holes in drywall and hardwood floors. Crews showed up 7 hours late for delivery and 4 hours late for pick up. Guaranteed delivery date by contractor was not met by subcontractor by more than two weeks.

Contractor was not able to reach subcontractor for more than 10 days post the pickup, as phones are not answered by Olympic and no operator at location to answer phones. Additionally, Olympic called me at 11 am CT on 8/1 for a estimated delivery at 7 am CT on 8/2. This was the only communication I received post the pick up from Olympic regarding delivery of goods.
