Starving Students they violated a contractual agreement Alexandria Virginia

On 6/26/07 I contacted Starving Students to move me on 8/4/07 between 8-12 am. The movers did not show up on 8/4/07 nor did they call. On 8/5/07 JB and another driver showed up, looked at my belongings and refused to move me. I started frantically calling the office and must have spoken with Ellis 20 times, to find out what the problem was. Their 3rd person had been overcome with heat during someone else's move on Saturday, that is why the did not not show up.

They refused to move me on Sunday 8/5/07 because there were only two movers. Again, after much haggling and begging Mr. Ellis scheduled me to the moved on 8/6/07 after 12. When JB (supervisor), Maurice, and Anthony arrived, I asked about the credit that was due me based upon my converation with Mr. Ellis, they offered me $20 which did not cover the food for one meal. The reservation desk advised that the movers would cover and wrap any furniture I askem to.

I asked JB 3 times to wrap my white couch and he stated he would along with the mattresses. Needless to say they did not wrap anything, I have been trying to put in a claim for the addt'l costs for my couch, the broken chanelier that Anthony broke, the addt'l costs for lodging, food, and utilities. The Starving Students organization is unprofessional, unresponsive, accident prone and irresponsible. When checking their rating with the BBB of CA., they have a rating of F. Do not do business with starving students,
