Do not under any circumstances trust this company.  They lied to me every step of the way and stole items during the move.

They were scheduled to arrive at between 9-11am to pick up my items.  They did not arrive until close to 6pm.  As a result I incurred additional expenses because of their failure to properly notify me in changes to the agreed upon time.  I had to pay someone additional fees for waiting 6 hours and 45 minutes.  Upon their arrival the agent demanded additional fees that were previously agreed upon beforehand with the broker.  At that point the agent’s employee guaranteed that any disassembled furniture would be reassembled upon delivery.  The agent refused to honor the broker’s price and method of payment resulting in a week’s delay in delivery.  A representative named Randi at 866-573-9031 ext 305 with Movers Group Inc, (Agent) contacted me on June 22 and demanded a wire transfer and told me they would retain possession of my items until they received a cash payment.  Previously it was agreed upon with Mike (Broker) at the time of the contract that the same method of payment used to make the deposit would be used to pay the first half of the remainder at pick up. It was agreed upon that I would have an authorized representative on site at the pickup location to sign the credit card transaction.

When my items were finally delivered, multiple items were damaged, several beyond repair. Additionally an entire notebook computer is missing and is presumed stolen or lost. The movers were unwilling to deliver the items to my apartment and were instead left in the lobby. None of the items that were disassembled were reassembled. I was overcharged at the initial pickup. The Movers Group pretended to be the same company as Domestic Movers and in doing so confounded efforts to communicate with anyone at either agency regarding issues as they arouse.

Attempts to Contact Agency: The first time I attempted to contact Mike regarding issues was on June 18 in regard to the late pick up as well as additional fees. I left a message which was never returned. My authorized card signer also left numerous messages for Mike on that day, none of which were returned. I emailed the address from which Mike sent the credit card authorization form on June 23, June 25, July 1, July 2, July 8, and July 9. All of these emails went unanswered. I also made numerous phone calls to the number I had on file. The vast majority of these were directed to a voicemail system, where I was informed the voicemail was full and was unable to leave any kind of a message or to speak to an actual representative. On several occasions I was able to speak with either Giovanni or David. In both instances they said they were shocked to hear about the various issues, they would look into it, that my stuff should be delivered by the end of the week, and that they would call me back. They never called me back. On July 13, the date of delivery, my stepfather was able to get Mike on the phone. My stepfather explained that they were now demanding an extra $200 to move furniture via elevator. Mike said that was not correct, that he would contact the agent to resolve the issue and get back to us. That was the last contact we had with Mike. Later that day I received a phone call from Giovanni who told me virtually the same thing. That was the last time I had contact with Giovanni. As I have not been able to reach them and no one has made any effort to return my phone calls I have sent a letter itemizing the damaged, destroyed, and lost items by certified mail. At this time I have heard no response. Only after I froze charges with my credit card did they get back in touch with me. Randi emailed me and said that if there was any problems with their service it was news to them. She then asked that I call them. I emailed back that they did know there had been issues and that I had tried to call them repeatedly. I have not heard anything from them since.
