I made a reservation with U-Haul in Danbury two weeks in advance for a 17 feet truck.

The night before my move they called me to let me know that they did not have any trucks available in Danbury and I had to drive almost 30 miles away to pick up a smaller truck, or take a smaller truck.

Some of my furniture did not fit in the 14 feet truck, and I had to leave it behind and pick it up later. I will be charged a fine by my landlord for "delaying the move-out day" out of my deposit.

U-Haul did not give me any discounts for not giving me the truck that I reserved, nor the gas that I had to spend, and on top of that they were extremely rude.

Do not use U-Haul, try one of their competitors.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

Dont waste your time with Maria

AUTHOR: Eric - King Of Prussia (U.S.A.)

Maria is paid to respond to these ripoff reports making UHAUL look good. But the fact is, she can only help you 'so much'. eventually, you realize UHAUL will stubbornly reject any claim against them and it falls back on "well, didnt you read the fine print?" UHAUL does NOT care about anything but renting as many trucks as they can to secure their overbloated bank accounts even if it means making you miserable. Sorry, maria. But your offer for 'help' is desperate on UHAULS part.
