World Moving Services "A waste of your time and money" Popmano Beach, Florida

World Moving Services is NOT a mover. They are merely agents for moving companies, so the net result of their "service" is higher cost, poorer communication, and last minute confusion. They claim to hold the movers they use to high standards, but the company that moved our stuff was anything but professional.

First we gave them an absolutly accurate count and description of what we had. They made a bid and we chose them based on the price and services, which we considered to be the final price. Then we get a call within the no-cancel period from another departmentwho applies some kind of formula and comes up with a higher price. By this point you're days away from the move and pretty well trapped.

The worst part is that you don't know who you're getting as the actual mover until the day before they arrive. On moving day the driver, who is NOT an employee of World, comes up with all sorts of new conditions, such as an understanding that you can't file a claim for damage to pressed wood furniture, which is basically anything with visible wood. You either sign thew agreement or he doesn't take the furniture. He also charges you for the extra tape and wrapping he puts on your furniture, even if you did not ask for them to pack anything.

Save yourself the headaches and deal directly wirtha moving company, and don't sign anything unless you're completely comfortable with it. Dealing with World Moving Services made this whole process very painful.
