World Moving Services I was ripped off using the same tactics they used on people who have filed reports Fort Lauderdale Florida

Reading the reports on your web site eerily reminds me of the same experience I had. I used World Moving Services because they were ratged A-1 by the Better Business Bureau. They shield themselves by billing themselves as the moving coordinator and all the blame goes to the mover. They hire the worst mover you can find and any claim you have is against the mover, not World Moving as they are only the coordinator.

Like most complaints, the mover did not come the day I was supposed to move. I could not contact the mover nor the World Moving Coordinator to find out why. The mover came the next day with only two people so it took a long time to load. Estimate delivery date was 3 to 10 days after pick up. We did not get our things till 18 days after pick up. Our World Moving coordinator would not answer or return my calls to find out when we would get our stuff. On the 12th day after pick up I was told that the mover had difficulty getting a driver and that I had to pay $1700 more after my items were re-weighed.

On the 18th day after pickup (Sunday) the moving van came at 6PM. I wanted them to unload the next day but the movers who were extremely rude told me if I wanted my stuff I would have to acdcept it then and demanded the extra $1700 before they would unload. They did not finish unloading till after midnight. They scratch up the walls and there was a lot of damage to my chairs and furniture. Items and boxes were missing. Since insurance was $0.60 a pound I got a few cents for a dollars worth of the items missing and damaged.
