I recently moved from WI to CA. I put a request online for a moving company's quote. One of their agents got back to me and his quote was reasonable so I accepted. He told me that there was a 7 day (Jan 17 to Jan 24) window for delivery date and I said that was fine.

Unknown to me, he had told my father that the delivery date would be either Jan 17 or Jan 18 for sure. When I called him, he told me he put a window date of Jan 17 to Jan 24. The company kept calling to ask if I had signed the contract. I faxed it in and didn't check the end delivery date. He had changed it after we spoke and put Jan 31. A two week window.

Best Price and Moving Storage came to pick my things up on Jan 11, 2008. I later found out they put my things into storage until Jan 16 (the day before my supposed delivery). It is currently Jan 24 and I have not heard from them or World Moving Services.

The agent at ext 442 knew that I needed my furniture in a short amount of time and he took advantage of me. I am a recent graduate and I start work on Jan 28. I am in a new city and far away from my parents. I do not know anyone who can come and help me with my furniture. Jan 31 falls in the middle of my first week of work. It is unfair and hurtful that he would do that. It is obvious he wanted the sale.

I have tried calling Will back and he has refused to return any of my calls. When my parents finally got through, he was very rude and told them "It's her problem". When I try to call other representatives, they put me on hold for at least 10 minutes. They do not return calls. I have requested to speak to a manager twice and they too seem to be nowhere to be found.

All I want out of this is for my things to arrive here safely without any damage and for them to show up on the weekends because the week days will not work.
