I contacted world moving services to move me from N.M. to Tx. in late Aug. The move was to take place in early Oct. At first everything seemed good, they were very nice and the estimate was acceptable.....it was a not to exceed price. There were e-mails and phone calls several times. As the day came closer for the move I could not get them to give me an exact date and approx. time for the packers and movers to show up. I asked questions several times and was re-assured that things were moving along fine. Finally about a week before the agreed on date another person called to make final arrangements.....Well he had a whole new price for me and required another deposit....I questioned this but was told they would not schedule my pick-up without this! He said he was just trying to protect me. I was uneasy about this but the time was short....so I did as requested. I then did more research on this company and found rip-off complaints,a lot of them! I then called a local co. and they said they could do my move for the same original price and on my time schedule,I hired them and cancelled world moving services. Then they became rude and very argumentative told me I was being unreasonable and my deposit would NOT be refunded. We had a few words about this and all they would say is "not going to happen". At one point I even told them I would settle for a refund of half the deposit....again I was told "not going to happen". My move went well with the new company but I fear that this was a very expensive lesson for me!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
