Move 4 Less in Las Vegas will screw anyone... customers, employees, and competitors. I know this as FACT. I am an x-employee with inside knowledge of it all.

On local moves, they don’t tell customers that the drive time is doubled or that they have a 300+% markup on all packing materials. They also don’t tell them that cretin items have to be packed a special way or they will refuse to take it. They will happily pack it for you for a price. When you get the total “packing bill” there will be extra boxes, tape, and other items that they never used but will charge you for. Time will be stretched as there 3 hour minimum + double drive time always seems to be 7, 8, or 9 + hours. I saw one job turn into a 2 day project with extra men needed to move a pool table out. In the end, they broke the slate on the table. I will discuss their insurance latter. And at the end of the move, you will be surprised with “I’m sorry, we don’t accept credit card on local moves, it’s cash only”, but don’t worry, if you don’t have the cash, you can run to the ATM or they will store you stuff until you can come up with it. Final payment is due BEFORE they unload.

On long distance moves, they do the same packing tricks to jerk the price up and screw you. Long distance moves are quoted by weight, but on the day of the move the contract will be written up by cubic feet. They will over charge you for that too. Customers typically don’t know how much cubic feet are in one truck, let alone 12 lines of a truck. If you can get them to weigh the truck, 1st weight will be done with an empty truck… and I do mean empty. Then they go back to the office to load several hundred pounds of equipment, moving pads, boxes and more. After they load all your stuff onto their truck, it’s off to the weigh station to get the second weight… with a quick stop at the fuel pump to add 40 gallons of fuel (300+ pounds more weight). AND if that’s not dirty enough for you, I have actually seen them load someone else’s stuff before going to 2nd weight just to pump the bill up. Now that your shipment is weighed, into the warehouse it goes (I will explain storage latter), where illegal immigrants are hired to “take care” of your belongings. All the while, they are going through your shipment stealing whatever is small and valuable. At the delivery end, you can expect more charges… long carry, shuttle, and stairs to name a few. I witnessed a shipment that arrived 3 weeks late with lots of damage & broken items, unloaded from a semi into the back of the customer’s pick-up because the semi would not fit on the customer’s street, and they charged poor old lady a shuttle fee of $450.00, so if you are thinking about using Move 4 Less, Good luck with your move.

Employees are not treated well at all. They are sent out to job sites and expected to do hard labor with crappy equipment and no training. To begin with, several $8 an hour illegal immigrants with no training and speaks little to no English will show up with a supervisor to move you. They get no benefits, sick days, holidays or anything… it’s simple, work – get paid, don’t work – don’t get paid. After the job is done, hours are skimmed off the employees day… 15 minuets today, ½ hour tomorrow. It adds up to several hours per week per employee. They have no one to complain to there that cares, and are afraid to go to the authorities. One employee told me that every time Avi, Monty, or Effi screw him, he takes something from their customer’s shipment to make up the difference. Insurance… you will like this one.

Insurance is FREE… Ya! The truth is that the insurance only covers 60 cents per pound. That means that if they break or steal your brand new $400 x-box 360 (which only weights about 10 pounds) the insurance will only pay you $6. AND they will only pay if they packed it. You also need to read the list of items that are not covered at all, which is much much more then just particle board furniture. Jewelry, coins and many other items are not covered.

30 day FREE storage. If you consider free storage attractive, let me explain and clarify. Move 4 Less has a small storage facility on W post Rd. Storage is ok at best at this location. After that, they have a 48 foot “nationwide relocations” trailer parked on the street (with expired tags and no insurance) beside their office. The trailer leaks, the locking system on the doors are broken, and your shipment is being stored there. Don’t take my word, go see it for yourself (4180 W. Post Rd). Now don’t worry too much about the fact that anyone can go into the trailer in the middle of the night and steal your belonging, because the illegal immigrants have already gone through it… Think I kidding? Or maybe you think that I just some pissed off X-employee who wants to bad mouth my x-boss (Avi or shall we tell the truth and call him Averham Cohen the owner) who still owes me several dollars that I worked for screwing his customers for him. But wait, I saved the best for last.

The Lies. This one is GREAT. Avi, Monty, and Efi spend allot of time online posting lots of good letters from different customers (that don’t exist) saying how wonderful Move 4 Less is. At the same time, they spend lots of time posting lots of letters stating how bad other moving companies are. Part of my “sales” job was posting these letters. These postings can be found all over the web, from Google to yahoo, and I mean they post them on every one they can find. Want proof? Find posting # 457873 at ripoffreports.com and see for yourself how a different moving company caught them doing it. More lies are “your shipment is of the way”, “the check is in the mail”, “I’m sorry about your damaged items, but it is covered by our insurance”. All lies. They even scammed their suppliers to the point that lots of other business won’t do business with them. They are on a credit card “blacklist” (which is why they lost their credit card processing with sterling credit card processing and now go through Google). Buy up advertisement that they have no intentions of paying for (the call 4 movers scam, so if you are an attorney and work for Embarq or Yellowbook this is a hint). They have many cash only accounts with their suppliers because their suppliers don’t trust their checks. And the list of lies goes on and on, so if you still want to do business with them (now that you know the truth about them), go ahead… you deserve to be screwed by Move 4 Less, Las Vegas’s worst moving company.

Move 4 Less respond....

AUTHOR: Move 4 Less - Las Vegas (USA)

Before I start, I just wanted to say that we wouldn’t had respond to this report if “rip off” wouldn’t give a stage to disappointed employees that got laid off and were so upset about it that they will try do anything to damage a company.

“Rip off” claims that they are for consumers by consumers. Employee is not a consumer.

Our respond:

Hi, Jordan or May I call you the x- employee, you need to be ashamed, working for our company for 3 years, making about 50-60k a year for nothing.

I bet it is upsetting to loss a job that you made so much money for basically do nothing and feel like one of the owners.

I bet that us and many other companies’ owners that read this will be very upset if their employee that was treated very well will trough lies like that and try to ruin a very established and repute company only because he was lay off.

You were the H.R Director , you forget that any employee that was hired by us had to present an I.D and social security card, you claimed that we mark boxes more than we buy them, so, is that not right? We have insurance for 0.60c per lbs, so, most companies do. We do carry interstate and intrastate licensee here in Nevada, any of our written quote is e-mail to our customers and the quote does include the terms and charges.

Any of our customers is more than welcome to visit in our claimant control and alarmed warehouse at any time and look at his stored shipment.

It is our business how much we pay our employees or operate our company, not any one else. We have employees that work for us for years, probably no one will do that for 8 dollar an hour, you didn’t.

It seems that you are trying very hard to bad mouth our company so you make up things that really no body cares about: mark up boxes, pay low to employees….. add weight to our truck , don’t be radicals , you know that we go to the customer with any empty truck and the customer see that too, and the customer follow us to the weight station for the first and second weight.

30-40% of are scheduled moves are returned and referral customers. (Why would they schedule again if we are such a bad company), we have hundreds of recommendation letters from our customers.

You are trying to slander and libel our company and trying to damage us in any way, including making conflicts between us and other moving companies.

You claim ridicules lies that don’t even make sense, but well you probably desperate.

Everything that we do is legal and you are making many false statements.

This is our only respond to you (on this web site only), we really not going to respond to any of your lies.

Those letters all sound like you wrote them yourself.
