I was moving from Miami, FL to Bakersfield, CA. Sales person gave me a quote of $850 to move a couple of small boxes and a drum set (already packed), the space must have been no more than 6 feet wide, by 5 feet tall and 8 feet long. Could fit half of a regular bathroom. I thought the quote was quite high but it was last minute so I said why not. Upon arrival, they loaded the truck as scheduled and once everything was ready to go, they sky rocketed the price to $2,200. Once I threatened to cancel the contract and for them to bring everything down, they brought the price down to $1,700. I argued with the person (Geo) and after a long 45 minutes it was going nowhere, I had no other company as backup for the move, and I was scheduled to leave to the airport that next morning at 5am. With no time for last minute deals, I gave in (bad choice!!!!!!!!) Then when I read the contract he wrote $1,795. I looked at him and told him wtf!!! and he said "Thats the price I gave you, I never said $1,700 I said $1,795 At this moment I was so frustrated with the whole moving that I just wanted him out of my apt. I signed and prayed to GOD! After waiting 2 weeks with no response, I started calling and calling no one would answer anything, once they did after the 17th call. Their customer service was clueless and unhelpfull. They kept transferring me to voice messages and after days of waiting no one would return calls. I started calling from a different number, and lo and behold! someone answered. Geo this time, the dispatch was also clueless of when my stuff would arrive. He could get in contact with the truck, and when I asked him if they used their own trucks, he confirmed YES. After a month, my stuff finally arrived, I asked the driver if he was with the movers group and he said no. He was a private company (which was his own) and the movers group sold him the job, as they did with all their jobs. These people are liars and will take your money and then make you go through h*ll worrying if your belongings are going to make it or not. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
