This summer I bought a Crate Taxi TX50DB rechargable amp from Guitar Center.  I walked in to the store, asked if they had one in stock and was told "no" but they could order it online from the store.  I agreed. I also paid for the extended "Performance Guarantee". This came in the mail with a document that had no serial # or description.  Needing the amp and being very busy I sadly didn't deal with that right away.

I received the new (looking) amp packed in the appropriate box.  It worked great initially but quickly developed and issue where it lost the ability to charge itself.  I called in to the "Performance Guarantee" and was told there was no product listed on the guarantee I paid for.  So I sent them faxes of the receipt and shipping invoice. I was advised by them to call Crate Amps to get an RA#.

This did not turn out well as when the people at Loud Technologies, maker of Crate amps asked me to find the serial # on the amp and told me where to look.  It wasn't there.  He asked me if it looked like it fell off.  But no.  This is a new amp and there is just metal on the back where the serial # would be.  I checked on a friends TX50DB and they did have the serial # in the place that was described to me.

So basically at this point no one wants to honor my 5 month old "Guarantee" because the amp they sold me doesn't officially exist.  This sounds very very very fishy.  This amp is a $400 amplifier that I used all my resources at the time to invest in.
