I got a number of a company I was looking along with extensions for the individuals I needed to speak with. I accidentally dialed the wrong number. I didnt hear what the sales person said on the phone when they picked up and was caught off gaurd by a live individual, I was expecting an auto attendent to plug the extension into and then get transferred. I asked her to connect me to Chris at extension 5611... Her reply in a very snyde tone of voice was "were you not listening? did you not hear what I just said?" I apologized and said "excuse me? I dont understand I was looking for chris." she again in a very offensive tone of voice "obviously you werent listening". I then realized I had dialed the wrong number but was completely put off by the way she was handling this everyday occurance. I said "I'm sorry I must have dialed the wrong number, what was the name of this company?" She replied "Vintage Instruments!" again put off by how incredibly rude she was being I told her that i was sorry for the inconvenience but there was no reason to be rude to me about it and try to degrade my and make me sound stupid." Up until this point it was just a rude sales lady, but her reply to this was the deciding factor in me filing a complaint. " "You are stupid, and I dont need to be polite, your just wasting my time". She then hung up. I called back twice to try and get a manager on the phone but she hung up on me both times so my next step was to post this on rip off report to inform anybody looking into this company of the deplorable customer service that is givin to someone who was overly polite and apologetic about and everyday occurance of a simple wrong number.

An hour later I called back to speak to someone else and I got a gentlement by the name of Fred on the phone who stood behind the persons actions all togethor. He told me the persons name was Katherine and that she was his business partner. I cannot even pretend to understand how their business works or how they perform with providing products to clients (they may even excel at it), But I can tell you that I am not a ranting and raver type. The fact that I have taken time out of my day to post this only represents how unbelievebly rude these people were about the situation.

Vintage Instruments is Terrific

AUTHOR: George - Philadelphia (United States of America)

I have been going to this shop for years and it is terrific.  More and more these days, it is hard to find actual retail music shops who can be helpful with my instrument needs, and Vintage Instruments does this.  The complainer says he was caught off guard by getting a person on the telephone.  They are real - not some virtual business with a bank of telephones in Pakistan.  I go there often enough that I see how much uninvited phone calls eat into their day, and mine when I am the customer they are trying to help!

Given that the person making the complaint was apparently one of these, and that he not only made a nuisance of himself once, but twice by phone, and then even further on the internet, I'd say that he has too much time on his hands.  I'd say to him - go do something useful and constructive, and next time you pick up the telephone - Pay Attention.  My parents taught me that was basic courtesy, but apparently he missed that lesson and wants to complain about having had that pointed out to him.
