Just Nails Wasn't honest, yelled and called me names, had to call the police Shawnee Mission Kansas

I called this business before I came in wondering if he accepted the Discover credit card. I was on my way home and wanted to stop and get a manicure and pedicure and it was the only form of payment that I had on me. Over the phone, he had told me that he did accept that credit card and for me to come on in. Once I got there, on the front door he even had stickers displaying that he accepted Discover, Visa and Mastercard. So I went and got my nails done and when it was time to pay I took out my Discover credit card and he told me that they did not accept the card. Mind you, he was the only person there so he was the one I talked to on the phone. Even when I first walked in, he greeted me and said, "Oh, you the one who called". So it was him that I had talked to. I had reiterated to him that I had called in before hand to make sure that he would accept my payment and it even was displayed on the front of the store saying that he did in fact accept that card. I had no other form of payment on me. He then continues to say that he just switch credit companies (company that I guess he pays so he can run credit cards) and he no longer accepts Discover and that he just forgot to take the sticker off the door. He goes to the front of the store while I am sitting in the back waiting for my nails to dry and takes the sticker off the door. He then told me he wanted me to leave MY credit card with him and go find some other form of payment for his services. I was upset because I was getting yelled at when I had covered my bases by asking ahead of time before I even came into the establishment. He refused to give my credit card back to me, locked me out of his store. I told him if he didn't call the police I would. The police came, but of course he had taken a razor blade and cut off the sticker that said Discover and you could see that he had cut it unevenly. So when the police arrived, I made a report but it was my word against his. He had called me a lot of mean things and said that I was trying to rob him of money. I had to call a friend and have them come up and pay for me because the police said I legally had to. He was the owner of the nail salon, the only guy there. He had his two kids there, running around and playing with toys and watching tv (very professional and relaxing). His salon was also dirty and his services were not that great at all. I was called names that I did not deserve because I did not do anything wrong yet I still had to legally pay this man.
