Top Floor Investments, aka PERUN Business Group, is the said landlord for the property located in section 8, 8010 Community Drive, Manassas, Virginia 20109. A deposit was made before tenant, myself, could move in. Upon surrendering the premise, having given 30 days notice, the property manager refused to answer any phone calls or send any correspondence what so ever. After 30 days, I contacted the business to ensure my deposit was on its way. It was not. They claim that they are still replacing the carpet in only one room and told me they had a "mexican" do it for cheap. It is now day 35 and no check has been received. I called once again but received no response. I then received an email stating that if I did not stop calling them, that they would take more money off of the check. They now have the same property advertised as a safe, convenient community with renovated bathrooms and efficient A/C unit. We had someone look at the A/C less than 3 months ago and the repair guy claimed the A/C is over 10 years old and needed to be replaced. Also, there was a murder and the killer was still on the loose as of 09/15/09. So much for safe. The real reason they are not returning my deposit is because they have already spent the monies. I am sure of it. They had advertised the home as being available for rent on 09/01/09, the last day of the lease. Do not do business with this company. All they want is your money and have no idea how to manage properties.
