NewspaperArchives.com Heritage Microfilm Refused to refund for misleading services/billing. cedar rapids, Iowa

Newspaperarchives.com also known as Heritage Microfilm, out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is a total ripoff!

I went online to research some obituaries and found a site advertising Newspaperarchives.com as as service that offers an archival newspaper database including obituaries from all over the country.  I was interested so I clicked on an icon that said 9.99 for a month.  I didn't realize that the tiny print said it would be billed annually and my card was charged 119.00.

I was upset about this, but I checked on my research items anyway and found that no results were returned.  I found it odd that so many were not returned, so I checked on some news stories and they were not returned either. 

The gist is that this service is limited to only certain newspapers and not as widely disbursed as they advertise.  They don't care if you are not satisfied with the service.  I sent email asking for a refund because I was not satisfied and felt I was misled.  They refused to refund.  Now it seems I am stuck for a yearly subscription which I can't get any use out of!

I intend to dispute the charge and make this company known on the web as being misleading and unethical in how they handle their business.
