HARBOUR RIPPED OFF CALIFORNIA CONSUMERS AND WAS ISSUED A DESIST AND REFRAIN ORDER BY THE STATE
Pursuant to Financial Code section 12103, the California Corporations Commissioner hereby orders HARBOUR CREDIT COUNSELING SERVICES INC., doing business as HCCS, INC. and HARBOUR CREDIT MANAGEMENT, and others
acting in concert or participation with it, to desist and refrain from engaging in the business as a check seller, bill payer or prorater unless and until it is licensed or exempt. This Order is necessary in the public interest and for the protection of
consumers.

California has passed new credit counseling laws that are much tougher and not all counseling organizations can take CA. clients. If you live in CA. and need credit counseling, make sure before going with an organization that they are either licensed or excempt for your state. If you live in California, no counseling firm is allowed to charge you more than $50 to set up an account and no more then $20 a month to service it. If you are quoted higher, look for another counseling firm.
