My story is like everyone elses. "Scott Johnson" j stopped by my house, making us believe he was a young college student trying to earn points by selling magazine subscriptions. If he earned enough points, he'd be heading to Europe/Amsterdam. He talked very fast and insisted that I pick out a couple magazine subscriptions and though I said NO numerous times he wouldn't leave. He was very pushy and would not go away until I ordered magazines.. I gave in to his scam, but I was smart!! He really wanted cash, and even though I had it on me- I wrote him a check instead because I knew I could put a stop payment on it... I just wanted him out my house. As soon as he left I looked up the company and sure enough I see all these complaints and comments from other people who fell victim. He was very friendly, talkative... and seemed legit at first but pushing the fact that he wanted cash because he'd earn more points that way.. got me to thinking. Oh, He also claimed to be competing against "the girls", one of which is supposedly his girlfriend. When I asked him what college he was doing this speech project for, he said one thats in the next state over but never mentioned the name of this college. After the magazine order was placed, he shook hands with us and told us he was placing a sticker on the outside of our door to let "the girls" know that he had already been there so they wouldn't bother us... I took the sticker down hoping they would come by because I have a little surprise for them =) Once Scott left, I called the police department. I filed a report and the officer even went to the bank with me to put a stop payment on the check (fee was waived) and I closed the account. I also provided a sketch of Scott Johnson.. weird eye, tattoos, vehicle and all!!

Please DO NOT let these scumbags have your money!
