Universal Insurance I received a check today for $4,985.87 and I called the number and the gentlemen told me that I won 150,000 lottery and that all I needed to do was to cash the check so that I can pay the taxes from the 150.000 dollars. The All most ripped me off Branford Connecticut

I received a check in the amount of $4985.87 this morning and I called the number on the letter,when I called at first I had a weird feeling about this check. I didn't feel this was a call center, but a home or something. He ask if I could call back in about 20 minutes and I waited 40 minutes or so and returned the call. I ask "what is this and how did you get my name". He replied that "my name was given by using my debit card at walmart, walgreens, etc. I proceeded to ask other questions and he continued to try to persuade me that all this was legal and for me to go and cash the check so that I could pay my taxes of the $150.000 dolllars and the remaining of my winnings would be sent to me within 2 days.

I thank god for the holy spirit because usually I would have done this without thinking twice or doing any research, but I told him that I would have to check this out with the better business bureau and get back with him. No rip off with me, I just wanted to share my blessing and ask what to do with this check....
