I too purchased from this man who claims to be Florida Dept of Agriculture licensed, a member of the Florida/Carribean chapter of the American Bamboo Society and claims to have several locations. I ordered 2 plants which I didnt recieve, and after sending an e-mail to inquire about when they would ship I became a bit nervous when I discovered him sellling off his goods on craigslist , in Fort Lauderdale Fl. He stated he lost his lease and everything was forsale.( I live close buy this man, and did go to his nursery, however the address was a private house and no bamboo in sight, ANYWHERE)> however I did get an e-mail from him telling me this,

"Your ok, I still have another location and dont want to move all my stuff around, your plants will ship in the next day or so"

That was the last thing I heard from him, I sent another e-mail and got no reply. I contacted pay pal and started a complaint, needlees to say, of my 50$ purchase I only got back 16.97$ as the crook is flat out broke, and has no money in a reserve account with paypal.

I found out after the fact that this is "normal" for him on another website called bananas.org  http://www.bananas.org/f2/south-florida-bamboo-farm-8666.html where you can read the posts from myself and others .

I have made several complaints so far to the BBB, Fl dept of Agriculture, which will contact the appropriate law agencies  and Paypal who allowed this transaction to go through knowing that he had no money in reserve, and who seems to think I should be happy to have gotten 16$ back on my 50$ purchase. I have also made several inquiries to the American Bamboo Society as to weather or not he is legitimate although I think we all know the answer to this question.

Do you homework people and as the previous person said, dont be fooled by pretty pictures.

However to those of you who are the scamers, we buyers do have rights and there are several places we can file complaints and who knows, maybe one day the police will show up at your door along with the FBI since its illegal to accept money for something you dont send via the internet.  Its called FRAUD!

South Florida Bamboo Farm is far from a complete Fraud Ft Lauderdale Florida

AUTHOR: MrBamboo - (USA)

Let me first say that Im sorry for your bad experience with our company, Let me explain whats going on here....We have been growing and selling bamboo plants for over 3 years, we have shipped well over 1000 plants just this year. We have used paypal religiously for the whole time weve been in business. On July 25th when we logged into our Pay Pal account it was locked and the page said that our account was jeopardized and we needed to be re-verified and gave certain steps in which we did. On the other hand there was about 8 orders which were paid for that paypal froze the funds, I could even access the shipping info , so at this point paypal has the money , were not the fraud...check out www.paypalsucks.com there are hundreds if not thousands of people who they have done this to, as for your refund please email me your address to wholesalebamboo@gmail.com  and I will see to it you get a refund mailed asap and again I am sincerely sorry for your experience with our company

AUTHOR: MrBamboo - (USA)

I asked her to please email us with her address so we could mail her out the balance of her refund , its been 2 weeks and no reply, she would rather just keep complaining to all these different agencies than just come by and get her refund ??????

'South Florida Bamboo Farm , this man is a scam!!!" Buyer BEWARE

AUTHOR: panther10 - Tamarac (USA)

First let me say I did call you about 40 times, and since you never answer your phone ever whats the point of saying your waiting for me to contact you?

Second, I wasnt going to dignify your rebuttal with a response, but since you are trying to save face, lets end this right here. As I said in the post on Bananas.com, I will get a refund one way or another. After several e-mails to paypal about you, your company and your fraudulent website, I recieved a courtesy credit for my 50$ purchase that I made with you, I also recieved conformation from thier executive office that you were indeed paid on the day the transacton went through, along with being paid , you did get my shiping info. as you claim that you never got any of this.

I thought it was strange that when I emailed you 2 days after my purchase and you said you were sending my plants in the next day or so......that doesnt sound like someone who wasnt paid or someone who has no idea where to send plants that are paid for...you didnt tell me then that you were not paid, nor did you say that you never got the shiping info. Also , for someone who never got paid, why would you issue a refund to someone who you claim you never got paid from?

In the mean time while you sitting there trying to save yourself I have diligently been getting as much info as I could to support my claim, as ripoffreport has rules that I AM following......The Florida Dept of Agriculture does not have you listed as a licensed grower of bamboo, so im sure you will hear from them at some point as you claim to be a licensed grower on your website, I also recieved correspondence from The American Bamboo Scociety Carribean chapter President Robert Saporito  who stated that he has never heard of you or your company and therefore your NOT listed with them as a "source" of bamboo and  that you DONT belong to the ABS Carribean chapter as you claim to be. Im sure you will be hearing from the  Federal Trade Commision , the BBB, the Dept of Agriculture reguarding your business practice . As I said, I wasnt going to dignify your rebuttal with a response, but since your waiting for a response from me so you can give me my money back,( although you claim not to having ever recieved it in the first place..) Here is my response, you can stick your refund and your free bamboo plant right up your ass!!!! As my response is based solely on fact.  Your mantra should be "business is crooked, people are stupid and Im a thief."

Now you got your response...........

SouthFloridaBamboo(dot)com

AUTHOR: Rahn - (United States of America)

I just want to report that http://southfloridabamboo.com/ is NOT in ANY WAY associated with the company referenced in this report.

Some people have confused our site with a company calling itself South Florida Bamboo Farm.
We are not that company.

We ARE associated with Palm Beach Bamboo inc. That is our Nursery and we do not sell plants online.

We do not sell plants through South Florida Bamboo, that is for Bamboo Art and Bamboo Crafts.

For plants visit http://www.palmbeachbamboo.com/

Please Make Sure Who You Are Referencing.

Again SouthFloridaBamboo.com is NOT South Florida Bamboo Farm!

Thanks!
