Boss & Hughes Printing & Office Supply Fake-Printer Scam Over-Price Foriegn-Owned Office-Supply Printing Bad-Service India Sood Horrible Houston, Texas

I am a former employee of Boss & Hughes and I am glad to say  I am not there anymore. I have first hand knowledge of the corrupt things that were done to the clients there. They are business to business office supply and "printing". I put printing in quotes because there are no real presses on-site. They do have one operational small 2-color A.B. Dick press that can only handle so many runs (barely runs) and a color copier.

About 85-90% of the jobs here are outsourced to company in California via the web. The place is great for cheap printing and fairly ok quality. But B&H tells everyone that it is printed here in our own place in Houston, a blatant bold-face lie! That is why the turn around time is so long (as long as 2 weeks). I was the graphic designer and that was pretty much the only thing we did in-house besides running some of the jobs on the color copier (a BizHub 500). Here is the other thing; an example was one our clients was the City of La Porte, Texas. I had created new cards for the Mayor and a few counsel members. We would send off the cards to the company in California and get charged about 12-16 bucks. We would then charge the city 60-80 bucks!!! Talk about milking the city!!!

The business supplies is no different either. They use a service called S.P. Richards that provides the office supply and the catalogs and just re-brands it to your company logo. So your office supply actually are from S.P. Richards, not Boss & Hughes who just acts as a middle man.

The printing is main rip-off like I explained above. They are milking many local municipalities with over 500% profit on some. City of Shore Acres, City of Bellaire... just to name some off the top of my head. Other companies I remember them over-charging were Cat-Spec, LTD., Shin-Tec, Annunciation Orthodox School & Greek Church, United Methodist Church of League City...

Anyway as an insider and seeing their operations I needed to warn people of this. Also When we moved offices from La Porte, Texas to the Med-Center in Houston, they still tell people we are still in La Porte to fool them. The old Hughes Printing and Office Supply was bought by an foreign investor from India and moved it to it's current location. It is no-longer a mom & pop operation.
