Guardian Trust Finance Sent a Cheque for US$1.4M then asked for £1300.00 via Western Union for it to be cashed NW Calgary Other

I received a cheque in the post which contained an apparent legal Cheque. 2 Phone numbers were given on an accompanied letter. 001-778-858-6102 and 001- 778-892-0899. The answerphone had a had a female voice with a west African accent. (very poor English)

The 'Claims Agent had the name: Jerry Wilson, his English was slightly better than the Female but had no trace of any other accent other than West African.
I requested that I speak to some one who could give me more info. This guy was supposed to be the Lawyer, he had a more educated voice, but still with the same accent.

The two guys I spoke to obviously had a script to stick to, and became disjointed in replies when I tried to interject. They could not answer the questions I put to them. They had no back up answers and were not slick with the 'speak'

A sum of GB£1,300.00 was requested for the validation code, which was to be sent to me by snail mail, to allow me to cash the cheque. The phone connections were slow, as if they were being re-routed, perhaps to Africa! The ring tone was not what I expected for the US or Canada. ( I have relatives in both Countries).

The name of the org. Was: Guardian Trust Finance Finance/National Mega Million Sweepstakes.
The other big give away, to show their ineptness, was that, on the face of the letter, instead of the Canadian flag, they had the National flag of Australia!!
