It was about December 25th, 2007. I have been alone for a long time, so a "friend" introduced me to Jamaica on Yahoo Messenger that night. At the time I still had money enough to live on for a while as I considered what I would do next for a career. Jamaica said she wanted to call me again the next night (and the next, and the next, etc., etc.) and was telling me over the next few evenings that she needed to work as a commissioned chat girl to make any kind of living in the Philippines. That made sense to me. I believe that it must be a very poor economy there.

So, reluctantly I offered that she accept my money to live, rather than do that. It seemed that about $35.00 per month at the most was all I could send to help, so that is what I offered. She replied "Not enough". That should have been my first warning. But I did not heed it. So I asked how much she would need every month to quit her chat work. She told me she needed about $500. What? I offered $300 the 1st month. I did not see any choice: She and I were becoming intimate online, so I thought I'd better accomodate that. I did not want her to work some slimy chat business owner.

I gave her $300, but the next month it became a need for $500 again. I accomodated. I was in love now, and soon we were talking about meeting one another; it was determined that she needed a passport and would go to the U.S. Embassy in Manila to apply and interview for a tourist visa to the United States.

She went in April 2008 to Cagayan De Oro to get a passport, on me, and shortly thereafter she went to Manila. Ultimately she requested around $2000 It's all recorded. The trip was a failure, she said. NO tourist visa was granted. We wanted to get her an income in the Philippines, independent of me, and soon thereafter she asked if I wanted her to open a business in the Philippines. I thought it was a great idea. So, she said she was ordering computers and etc.

To reduce the details, it likely ended up costing plenty more than $25,000 to open and start her business. It's all recorded. When all was said and done, though, she became "angry" with me, and I could hardly talk with her anymore. And our relationship is non-existent.
