    Corporate Advocacy Program
I was searching for a home based business and medical & dental care. I joined as a broker and was automaticly a member after they received my money. After looking through the program I realized the company was not an honest one.

I canceled both as a broker in the due time allowed and as a member as I did not believe this would be of any help to me. I never received a refund. This was in July of 2005.

I believe this is a bogus selling tactic to sell software and then the company cannot be reached when the broker or member are dissatisfied.

I have a phone number of 1-800-550-9726 that I was given when I tried to cancel and get a refund. This is the Bank I Credit Card Services dept. I also have copies of communication via e-mails.

I was distrought and now more concerned that many others are losing money as well. I just want to join in any class action suit or court events that may have to take place to receive a refund and justice.

What we have at Ameriplan is a 30 money back guarentee. Did you ask for your return before the 30 days was up?

I have had many people cancel unforunately, and haven't at any complaints.

I just want a refund

AUTHOR: Linda - Ponte Vedra Beach (U.S.A.)

I did cancel within the 30 days. I did not have any "help" as promised to begin a new home business. I sent an e-mail to all that I was involved with that I needed to cancel membership and any job related issues. Neither provided any benefit or support.

Please just refund the monies I paid and be done with this. If BBB is my next step than I will report to them as well. If a claims court is needed I am prepared to do this as well.

I regret that this did not work for me and I stated so at the end of our relationship. I do not want to make this a longer ordeal than need be. But since I am not the only one suffering from a "ripoff" I feel that all that were taken advantage of need to be heard and taken seriously. I just needed the health care and the great opportunity promised me for a financial secure futre. I did not recieve either.

Sorry about your experience

AUTHOR: John - Indianapolis (U.S.A.)

That is a shame. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. It is important that we make sure we constrast the difference between the corporate business and the independent business owners.

It sounds like your sponsor was not there for you. THere is some blame there, however success in anything come down to us.

With the issue of your money, did you get a refund for your 35 dollar broker fee?

I UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM

AUTHOR: Paula - Germanton (U.S.A.)

I was wondering have you filed with the Better Business Bureau or the Insurance Commissioner in Texas? That Might help. I filed with the better business bureau not too long ago and got a response back that they have 40 days to reply to the complaint on this company and if they didn't, further action would be taken.

Why contact the Insurance Commissioner?

AUTHOR: Alan - Houston (U.S.A.)

First of all, I'm sorry that Ameriplan did not work out for you.

But in response to the previous poster's suggestion, due to the fact that Ameriplan is NOT insurance, it would just be a wasted phone call to any state insurance commissioner.

I do hope that your situation can be resolved.

There is Hope in Florida and Several Other States

AUTHOR: Robert - Irving (U.S.A.)

Florida leads the nation in the development of the Discount Medical Plan Organization Act of 2005. All plans must be licensed under the department of Financial Services Office of Insurance Regulation to sell discount medical programs in Florida (and several other states as well). Companiess must under Florida law return 100% of the cost of the program in the first 30 days - if the cost of the program is more than $30 the company must register the cost with the state Florida does not fool around - if they find violations they will make every effort to get a conviction and jail time - violation of this regulation is a felony. This law is being promoted by the NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) and is expected to pass to some degree in most states this year or next. Other states include Utah, South Dakota, Nevada, Oklahoma, Connecticut,Kansas and Illinos, in all 28 states have regulations of some sort at this time - states are tired of discount plans that overcharge and underperform - covered under the laws are physician, hospital, ancilliary, vision, podiatry, chiropractic, dental and vision plans (some but not all states include Rx savings plans as well). Yes, take this to the Dept. of Insurance do not waste your time with BBB - they can't do anyhting and most of these organizations ignore them anyway.

AmeriPlan is Licensed in Florida

AUTHOR: Dwayne - Wauseon (U.S.A.)

As a matter of fact AmeriPlan is licensed in the state of Florida and one of our founders Dennis Bloom helped to right these new laws that your talking about and is working with alot of attorney generals in other states to right these new laws for discount plans. I'm an Independent business owner not an employee.
