I have been selling on Amazon for almost ten years. I didn' t make a living off of it, but I did well each month. Items I sold were mostly books that teachers would get rid of throughout the school year. However, I recently sold a DVD collection that I legally purchased and legally listed. The buyer claims I sent him an illegal copy that was duplicated. I don't even know how to duplicate DVD's. However, I can't prove to him that I sent him the legitimate copy. I got delivery confirmation so he can't deny he received the package, but he can make false claims against the product. Amazon, without having product in hand, just his claim, closed my account. If I ever had a problem like non-delivery, I would refund the buyer. I don't sell anything illegally. I am upset they closed my account....over 1000 items sold and one complaint makes them shut me down. I may not be a big seller, but I have several websites I publish for teachers, schools, church, etc. and I have since cancelled all active links that would lead the viewer to purchase books/items on Amazon. I am redirecting them to eBay or Half.com. I have done really well training people on how to sell their items on Amazon. I have contacted them and told them to stop listing their items immediately because they are not protected as sellers. Everything is based on whatever a buyer says. Finally, I am not training anymore sellers to sell on Amazon. I will teach them how to use Half.com or eBay. This is totally unfair to the seller...absolutely no protection. I feel like I have been fired from my job. I understand their need to protect the buyer, but Amazon makes money off the seller, too and if they aren't protecting the seller, buyers won't have anyone to shop from.
