armynavydeals.ca Horrible customer service, late on deliveries, takes forever for refunds Internet

I ordered paramedic boots and BDU pants on July 20 2010.  I find out on August 2 that the pants are on backorder until December. The way I found out was by checking my order status and it was updated on the 2nd. So had I not checked it I wouldn't have been informed as I wasn't sent an email either.  So I ask for a refund and 5 days later it still isn't back on my card. I call back and they say oh we haven't put it through yet, so it will be another 3-5 business days.  Now on to the boots.  Come August 9 there still isn't a location on where my boots are. They are coming from New York and going to southern Ontario, which isn't on the other side of the world.  So apparently they didn't even ship the boots out until the 8th.  So now it has been 19 days without shipment.  I tell them I will refuse shipment and I am informed that I will be refunded when the package is returned. Come Aug 15 the package arrives and here's the kicker, I owe $35 in duty. OMG they can't be serious! The purpose of ordering from a .CA website is so you don't have to deal with that.  If I wanted to get something from a US based company I would have ordered it from a different place and had it sent to my parents house in Michigan.  They shouldn't be operating as a .CA company.  So I also find out as I look at my credit card statement that I am charged in US dollar. I don't know how they can get away with that especially since they advertise as a .CA company and it isn't specified otherwise on their website.  I don't hear anything about them getting my returned package and I call them today Sept 2.  It has now been 18 days since I refused it. It also only took 7 days for me to recieve it from New York once it was confirmed being sent out.  The representative tells me yeah that they have it and will refund me within 5 business days. So apparently its up to the customer to call and tell them to give money back.  I am looking at Sept 9 to have my money back. Wow only 51 days since I placed my order. This company is absolutely ridiculous and I encourage people to not waste their time and shop elsewhere.
