Before I get into the details of our phone call, I must say something regarding the above rebuttals to my postings. That is to say, that whomever has written them has never once addressed my comment about doing the research, before going on and on about how I'm not telling the truth. Neither of the two of you (if in fact you are who you say you are and aren't Rebecca herself.) have called the companies like Gucci or Prada to ask if Rebecca's company is allowed to sell their designer goods. OR if they sold them to her. I've done the research. Obviously, you haven't.
I'm not going to go on and on about this when all you are virtually saying is that what I'm saying is untrue. Besides that, all you've done is insult me and given me unsubstantiated evidence, nothing concrete.
I've said is that she never did anything to help me when I'd pleaded with her to have a heart and to to do the right thing by refunding my money in exchange for the handbags. This was when I'd first found out something was very fishy with a number of her bags. One day I happened upon this site and figured nothing else had worked to get her attention. so I posted some of the details here.
Obviously she'd received some feedback from a male friend regarding my postings because she miraculously phoned me up.
Initially in the conversation she was very apologetic but she'd also said that she never remembered me having called her regarding our transaction. I told her exactly what had happened and that she'd never helped me to remedy the situation. She remarked about the fact that back then, she had been going through a rough breakup with her then (husband?) and that so much was going on that she was a bit scattered at the time.
I told her that I could appreciate that, but that I'd just lost close to $10,000 of money that was to be used for my small startup business and that I too, had gone through a particularly rough time. Also, I mentioned that even IF she had been going through a rough patch, it was no excuse for not doing what what was right.
She agreed and said that she would try to see how she could now pay me back, that she didn't have the whole sum to send to me but she could see what she could do.
Then the conversation went into an entirely different direction. She went on and on about how I had ruined her reputation online, that her customers were complaining, and how could I expect her to be able to pay me back if word was getting around that she had sold some replicas to me. and then she said, she wouldn't be able to make the money to pay me back because what I'd written would hurt her sales. All during this part of the conversation she was very angry and it escalated.
I was truly perplexed. One moment she was talking about paying me back, albeit in small increments, and the next, she was angrily flipping out about how I'd ruined her reputation. My reaction was "excuse me, but now I'm getting angry because you are trying to turn this around to make me feel badly about something that you did to me? Something is wrong with this picture."
I must also mention that she also made comments about me giving her my word that I wouldn't post any more about her. and also asked me to remove these postings. I told her that there was no way to remove postings from this site because I'd remembered reading about that fact in an article here. She also mentioned me taking back what I'd said by writing that what I'd written had in fact been false. I said that I couldn't, all of a sudden write that I'd lied. lol I said that I'd look like a liar or a person that made up stories and that I wouldn't do that to my reputation.
From the moment she started to rage, there was no use talking sense to her, so I said "look this is obviously not going anywhere because there is too much emotion involved, so from now on, why don't we just communicate via email and in that way, we could get this resolved much easier."
Since then I've written to her two or three times to ask her what her thoughts were and how she was going to proceed. It's been weeks and she hasn't even had the decency to answer my emails. I wasn't going to write anymore about her on this site but she is back to her old tricks. ignoring my request for a refund.
Since we last spoke, I've emailed her four times. The first was to send her a copy of the invoice. I'd mistakenly forgot to attach it so she wrote back letting me know that I hadn't sent it.

On Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 03:50PM, Rebecca let me know that I'd forgotten to attach it.

So I sent her a copy of the invoice.
This is the next email I'd sent her and I haven't heard from her since.
Hi Rebecca,
I just visited the Gucci website and if you look at the Gucci Horsebit Hobo you will see the handle looks nothing like the bags (2) you sent me of this particular style.
I would appreciate it if you would please email me and let me me know what's going on in terms of how you are going to compensate me for the handbags/wallets.
Thank you,
Lisa

This is the last email that I'd sent her and there has not been a response.
Hello Rebecca,
I'm wondering when I'm going to hear from you again? I thought we were in agreement that you were going to look over the invoice and get back to me.
I'd appreciate an update as to what has transpired thus far.
Thanks,
Lisa
