Awesome Awnings - Rick Barton Scam artist, felony check fraud, won't return phone calls, don't do business with this company! Wilmington, North Carolina

I am writting this report in case anyone ever googles the name Awesome Awnings Wilmington, NC.  Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else. The owners, Rick and Debbie Barton are scam artists and will be facing a felony check fraud case that will be filed against them. 

Rick Barton basically had a restaurant customer who had purchased an awning from him that was interested in an outdoor misting fan system.  Rick called us and we decided to ship the product once we had deposited the check due to the fact he would persistently call us and scream at us.....saying that his customer was going to cancel.  Of course, we tried to please him and shipped over $5,500 dollars worth of products to him only to get a call from our bank telling us that a stop pay had been put on the check.  Rick and his wife Debbie Barton have refused to answer our phone calls and emails for over 4 months now.  We know for a fact that the restaurant customer paid Rick Barton the full amount for the misting system. 

Awesome Awnings Wilmington has been given every chance to pay this debt, which would be considered felony check fraud.  We have even offered to give them a payment plan given the tough economic condition. 

Do not do business with Awesome Awnings Wilmington, NC !   Rick Barton and Debbie Barton have also had numerous other complaints from other customers who claim that they took deposits for awnings and never returned to install them.
