I purchased 16 gallons of Olympic Brand Paint, they offered a $5 a gallon rebate.

I mailed everything I had in one envelope, it didnt mention anywhere that they had to be individually mailed in.

I received a check for $50. When I contacted them about the remaining $30. they told me that I should have mailed the rebate forms in seperate envelopes and that I needed to mail my receipt to get the rest of my rebate. (It went with the first rebate)

Have you EVER heard of such bunk?

Suggestion Ask them to stamp it with their LOWES address stamp

AUTHOR: Mandy - Crestview (U.S.A.)

My suggestion is if you used a credit card or debit card and remember a roundabout date of purchase, we can look up your reciept for you at the Lowes that you purchased it at. Ask them to stamp it with their LOWES address stamp and have a member of management sign it stating that it is and authentic replica printed at the store of the original reciept. They can also print you out a copy of the rebate form. I suggest asking the associate that handles this to make duplicate copies for you at the Customer Service desk.

The alternative is to advice the store manager of the problem, we have many a time at my store, done what we call a "Cash Paid Out" to honor a rebate. Bring in a letter stating what you were told, or the # that you called and were advised of this nonsense. I'm sure the store would have no problem giving you the $30 in cash, or on a Lowes Gift Card.
