Travis Darden & John Nevue scammers in the house hold repair, tile and paint business. Took our money and ran. San Antonio, Texas

Called these guys from a local add (Travis Darden and John Nevue) to do some interior painting. They gave us an estimate and we called them back out to do the job.

They quoted us 510.00 to paint three rooms. The back bedroom and bathroom on their written estimate was 200.00. They arrived to start the painting and asked for 200.00 up front. They were paid 200.00 cash and wrote on the estimate they got 200.00.

They left to go to home depot before 10am for supplies to come back and paint all day. They somehow thought it was ok and professional to go to his house and work on his van till late in the day instead of waiting till after the day of painting was finished here.

They showed back up at 3pm and finally started to paint. They completed the ceilings and left after less then 2 hours of working. They said they would paint all day Saturday the next day.

They showed up Saturday morning and painted nothing. They left for a very early lunch and never came back and will not call us back. We are owed at least 1/2 our money back if not all since they did not even do half the work in the bedroom/bathroom. We had a feeling this was bad when they proved they had poor worth ethics the first day.

They should never leave a job site for 5 hours after being handed money and not come back. There were two of them. One could have stayed and painted and the other could have fixed the van since that was priority over earning the money they were already paid. I guess they needed to scam us out of 200.00 to fix the van.

We even told them to just finish the bedroom and do not worry about the rest of the house just finish what we had already paid them for. They agreed and said they were going to get luch and they never came back.

I would not suggest anyone use these men for any kind of work or allow them in your home to steal from you.
They will not return our calls, go figure.
