YAHOO personals online - DON'T DO IT. I was stupid enough to give my credit card information to just get into the see for a browse. I had an emergency and needed to withdraw my temporary subscription, which they clearly state that you can by following THEIR directions EXACTLY before the end of 7 days. I did it the very next morning!!! They continue to ignore the fact that I have already done it and tell me to do that same thing over and over again. I have even forwarded e-mails showing my confirmation from them of my cancellation!! They HAVE NOT refunded my money into my account. They tell me it is too late now. EVEN THOUGH. I have proof of doing it the next day and them telling me they are sorry I am leaving. It is $19.95 that means a lot to a person like me. I suppose I will have to keep spreading the word and keep on letting people know NOT to trust them.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Call your bank

AUTHOR: Brian - Owings Mills (U.S.A.)

As long as the charge has taken place relatively recently (last 60 days), you should be able to call your credit card company and dispute the charge. They often put the money back on your account while you're on the phone. You'll have to fill out some paperwork affirming your dispute. You will get your money back pending an investigation of the fraudulent charge (or lack of credit). Seldom does the merchant win a case as long as the customer provides some decent backup documentation...your confirmation letters should be sufficient. Even if the charge is more than 60 days old, try contacting the card company anyway. They may still be able to dispute the charge. Good luck.

I had the same problem but... I kept insisting and calling them

AUTHOR: Javier - Encino (U.S.A.)

I kept insisting and calling them because I sent the letter like they want with all the data in it for a refund and plenty of time before the 7 days.

They were still playing it like "We didn't receive anything". But I call like the third time and sent an email, and a month later I received my money back.

If you are not patient and insist on it, you're not gonna get it.

If you're still not getting it, call your bank and dispute it, it works too.

7 Days

AUTHOR: Link - Studio City (U.S.A.)

I think you wiil find the 7-days does not mean you get the $19.95 back it means you need to cancel within 7-days to avoid being billed for the next cycle.

I do not believe there is any free access other wise everyone would simply pay get info then cancel the next day.

It is $19.95 a month you pay $19.95 to gain access for one month to cancel recurring billing you must cancel withing 7-days to avoid next months charge.

Once you cancel your $19.95 is still giving you full access for the month you will not get billed again..

I also want to Add

AUTHOR: Link - Studio City (U.S.A.)

that if you cancel online correctly you get a receipt stating service has been cancelled... I have done it twice in the past and it cancels just fine, but off course I still have to pay and get use of the first month I ordered.

#5 Consumer Suggestion

You're wrong Link

AUTHOR: Jenifer - Portland (U.S.A.)

It is a free 7 day trial. If you cancel before the 7 days, you will not be billed the $19.95 is what the sign-up states---you will only be charged the $19.95 if you do not cancel before the 7 days is up...I know because I have done it...I signed up for the trial-and cancelled 3 days later...my card was never billed...
