I purchased a puppy for Happiness is Pet in IL, I have a beautiful cav. king charles (F). I have not experienced all of the health problems, but in her first year there was alot of unexplained stomach problems. The vet has yet to figure it out.

Had I been an informed consumer on Steve Kruse and his puppy mill I would have thought twice.... I love my dog more than anything and would do or spend anything for her but after reading up on Mr. Kruse it makes me nervous. Am I going to have future health problems with my dog, I hope not.

I am currently looking at adding another dog to the family however now that I know the truth I will not be shopping at Happines is pets, at the risk of getting a sick dog from the steve kruse puppy mill.

No wonder alot of the Steve Kruse cav's that I have seen there have had hernea repair and are on "sale"

I commend you for supporting your pet, and doing everything you can. I don't think you should feel guilty about your purchase, this is one truly emotional purchase that we should be allowed. Unfortunately, you were involved with a poor breeder. If you can ask yourself, "Would I like my life without this dog," and answer the question no you have done all the right things.

I wish you the best of luck, and I hope this man is put out of business soon.
