Barrington Orthopedics ILLINOIS Insurance and Doctors Ripped Me Off

These guys are good doctors but the organization is money hungry and totally non-responsive to their clients. I got an orthotic shoe insert from them for $350.00 but my insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield, won't cover it. When I called the insurance they said they would cover it but I needed to get the original orthotic bill from the people who created the insert. At first, Barrington Ortho said they would send it to me as soon as they found it. After 5 calls to them which went unreturned, I finally got them on the phone and they said that they wouldn't send the original bill because they just didn't do that. So, negotiations broke down and Barrington Ortho won't send the bill so the insurance won't pay. I'm out $350.

I saw a letter to the insurance from Barrington Ortho that said the costs ($350) weren't only for the orthotic but also for office visits, measurements, etc. I already paid those bills outside of the $350. Who's kidding who?

I also wrote to the people who made the orthotic and they won't send the bill to me either. They say I'll have to get it from Barrington Ortho.
