Rite-A-Way Services Another Victim of A Total Rip-off Company Riverside, California

In February 2007 my 75gal water heater started leaking when I was away on business. My wife who was hoime at the time called our home warranty company AHS and they sent Rite-A-Way. After inspecting the water heater, the technican said that it waqs not installed to code and the insurance company would not pay for it. My wife called me and I told her if we have to pay for it lets install a Noritz tankless energy saving water heater. So that is what we did. When I arrived home I took a look at what was done and dam near fainted. It looked as if a child installed the unit. I check the reccommended installation and it was not even close. When I called rite-a-way they gave me the run around. Fortuneately we charged it on our AMEX card so I disputed it ($6000) and now they were all to willing to make it right. Well the fixed all the problems I pointed out. and the unit has worked OK for the last two years. About a month ago it started acting up. I have since called Noritz, the manufacturer and they reccommended a factory certified technican. Today the technician came  to diagnose the problem and found several problems with the installation, from the incorrect size gas line, in sufficient safety valve, to wrong types of check valves. Bottom line...$1500 to reinstall it. After reading the complaints against rite-a-way on this site, I am investigating legal action against rite-a-way, if they are still n business.
